2nd Sunday of Easter

Response:
Give thanks to the Lord for He is good,
For His love has no end.

Join in the Dance

Refrain
Join in the dance
Of the earth's jubilation!
This is the feast of the love of God.
Shout from the heights
To the ends of creation:
"Jesus the Saviour is risen from the grave!"
Verse 1
Wake, O people, sleep no longer,
Greet the breaking day!
Christ, Redeemer, Lamb and Lion,
Turns the night away!
Verse 2
All creation, like a mother,
Labours to give birth.
Soon the pain will be forgotten,
Joy for all the earth!
Verse 3
Now our shame becomes our glory
On this holy tree.
Now the reign of death is ended;
Now we are set free!
Verse 4
None on earth, no prince or power,
Neither death nor life,
Nothing now can ever part us
From the love of Christ!
Verse 5
Love's triumphant day of vict'ry
Heaven opens wide.
On the tree of hope and glory
Death itself has died!

Glory to God

This Bread
That We Share

Refrain
This bread that we share is the body of Christ
This cup of blessing his blood
We who come to this table
Bring all our wounds to be healed
When we love one another
As Christ has loved us
We become God's daughters and sons
We become for each other the bread, the cup
The presence of Christ revealed
Verse 1
We who come to this table of hope,
Come seeking strength for the journey.
Here alone are the weary refreshed,
The broken in spirit made whole.
Verse 2
We who come to this table of peace
Carry within us the promise
Truth and justice shall flow through the land
And righteousness fill ev'ry heart
Verse 3
We who come to this table of love,
Find here a Friend who is faithful.
Always present to us in our need,
The love of the Lord never fails!

Companions on
the Journey

Refrain
We are companions on the journey
Breaking bread and sharing life
And in the love we bear is the hope we share
For we believe in the love of our God
We believe in the love of our God
Verse 1
No longer strangers to each other
No longer strangers in God's House
We are fed and we are nourished
By the strength of those who care
By the strength of those who care
Verse 2
We have been gifted with each other
And we are called by the Word of the Lord
To act with justice, to love tenderly
And to walk humbly with our God
To walk humbly with our God

Jesus Christ is
Risen Today

Verse 1
Jesus Christ is ris'n today, Alleluia!
Our triumphant holy day, Alleluia!
Who did once upon the cross, Alleluia!
Suffer to redeem our loss, Alleluia!
Verse 2
Hymns of praise then let us sing, Alleluia!
Unto Christ, our heav'nly King, Alleluia!
Who endured the cross and grave, Alleluia!
Sinners to redeem and save, Alleluia!
Verse 3
But the pains which He endured, Alleluia!
Our salvation have procured; Alleluia!
Now He reigns above as King, Alleluia!
Where the angels ever sing: Alleluia!
Verse 4
Sing we to our God above, Alleluia!
Praise eternal as His love, Alleluia!
Praise Him, all ye heav’nly host, Alleluia!
Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, Alleluia!
